You might not hear street names when you change your language.Today, Apple introduced a new feature called Business Connect that's primarily aimed at brick-and-mortar businesses like restaurants or retail stores. This will change the language of your device's menus and other apps. Tap General Language & region iPhone Language. On your iPhone or iPad, go to your device settings. You'll hear updates and turn-by-turn directions. You’ll hear updates about traffic, construction, and crashes. To change the volume when connected to CarPlay, use your vehicle's volume controls when navigation guidance is speaking. To stop or cancel navigation, drag up from the bottom and tap Exit. For example, you might be in or near a tunnel, parking garage, or other location where there’s no GPS signal.
